UEA’s hazardous location slip ring is certified to UL 1203 for Class II Division I Group F & G, cULus, CSA, and IEC 60079-31:2013 standards. The slip ring is fit with an aluminum threaded cover with cast aluminum base. The slip ring has a 1.5-inch (38.1 mm) bore and measures 9.65 inches (245.11 mm) in diameter.

“UEA is pleased to offer the industry’s first and only fully certified slip ring for explosive dust applications,” said Daniel Hanawalt, UEA business development manager. “We feel this will give manufacturers of grain bin systems and other applications with explosive dust environments the confidence needed to meet their customers’ growing expectations for product safety.”

Customer-specified circuits, mounting, enclosure and harnesses are available, additional certification may be required with customization. Low power and signal circuits can be added as needed.

Since 1952, UEA has been designing and engineering slip rings for agricultural applications that can withstand harsh conditions including rain, dust, dirt, and extreme temperature.
