United Equipment Accessories has introduced 14 new standardized rotary union and hydraulic swivel models designed to simplify selection, shorten lead times, and give OEMs a reliable starting point for common hydraulic applications. These new designs are intentionally more streamlined than previous offerings, delivering consistent performance in standardized form factors that integrate easily into customer-built systems.

The standardized swivel lineup is offered as bare hydraulic swivel assemblies, each incorporating multiple mounting-hole patterns. This allows customers to design their own mounting plates and torque arms to suit their equipment layout while reducing unnecessary customization. Optional mounting plates and torque arms can be supplied in select configurations when required.
Key features of the standardized hydraulic swivel lineup include:
- Multiple sizes and circuit configurations
- SAE ORB ports for hydraulic service
- Bare swivel designs with flexible mounting options
- Designed for high-pressure hydraulic applications
- Consistent, repeatable performance across models
The rotary union and hydraulic swivel are compatible with general-use hydraulic oils commonly used in mobile and industrial equipment. For applications involving arctic, oceanic, or specialty fluids, consultation with UEA is recommended to confirm seal compatibility. Flow capacity follows standard hydraulic best practices and aligns with port sizing and circuit configuration.
Operational guidelines include:
- Rotational torque estimates provided at zero system pressure, with torque varying based on circuit pressure and configuration
- Temperature limits suitable for typical mobile and industrial hydraulic environments
- Recommended rotational speed based on a conservative guideline equivalent to a 4-inch diameter rotating at 25 RPM
Each swivel incorporates multiple bolt patterns to support flexible mounting designs. Proper alignment and torque management are recommended to prevent housing rotation and side loading. For applications requiring both hydraulic flow and electrical signal or power transfer, the standardized swivels can be paired with slip ring assemblies to create a compact rotary interface.
This standardized hydraulic swivel lineup offers a faster, more efficient alternative to fully custom designs.
