How Can UEA Help with Replacement Parts or Repairs?

At United Equipment Accessories (UEA), we pride ourselves on being willing and able to supply replacement parts for any products we sell. I enjoy hearing the sense of relief when a customer calls and finds they are talking to a person that understands the product and can identify what is needed to get a machine back up and running. Sometimes it is as easy as sending a stock brush assembly off the shelf the same day a customer calls. Other times a little more research is needed, but that is where we excel. With over 60 years of experience within our customer service team, we have seen it all.

Part numbers are the easiest way to identify what is needed, however, we understand that is not always possible. Providing us with photos of the part or age of the machine can be very helpful. One of the things we tell our customers is we will supply as much or as little as you want. If a spring from the brush assembly is all that is needed, then we can supply just that part. If it makes more sense to replace the complete brush assembly, we will advise the customer of the best option, but the final decision is always yours.

Brushes are the most common replacement part for slip rings. Occasionally, a ring can be damaged in the core assembly. We will work with you to determine if only one ring is needed or possibly more. Replacing rings and insulators can be a tedious job. We might suggest supplying you with a complete core assembly that will save you time on your end.

UEA also can repair or refurbish slip rings at our facility. The best way to determine if a repair is feasible is to send the part to us. This allows us to inspect the part and determine the best course of action. If we can repair the part, we will give you an estimate of cost and let you decide the next step. If repair is cost-prohibitive, we will give the option to purchase a new replacement.

The most rewarding “thank you” I received from a slip ring customer was several years ago. He stated that with our help, his 1960s machine was up and running again. This may not have been a huge sale for UEA, but the customer got exactly what was needed. No more, no less.
